Spring Cleaning

Along with Spring and getting a new mixer comes cleaning out things like the pantry and the lazy susan cupboard. All 3 of the adults that live in this house hate that stupid lazy susan so we decided to empty it and not use it. I'm not sure what I can do with the space or if I even will. In this "segment" we will share our version of how to clean out a lazy susan.

First you give birth to a really skinny helper. Then you wait 18 years for her to grow up and be able to help! Then you tell her to climb in.
Then you hand her the rag from the bucket. She wipes up back there and hands the dirty rag out to you. You rinse and repeat.

Then you run and get the camera because this will make a really funny blog post!

You have a few more good laughs!
You give her a hug, thank her for being skinny and willing to help, and laugh some more! Then you write a blog post about it so you can share with all the world how wonderful and skinny your daughter is!
No she is not anorexic - her dad is tall and skinny too!
She eats well, is very healthy, and usually willing to help her mama.

  1. LOVE IT! LOL :) We had the option of having a lazy Susan in our kitchen and opted to NOT have one. :) Hope you find a good use for yours, I'd hate to loose that space in my kitchen.

  2. Valerie, the biggest problem is that it is RIGHT next to the stove/oven. There is very little that I have in my kitchen that is safe to have next to heat continually. Why these people don't think of this when they design kitchens is beyond me. Duh...food doesn't store well by heat.

  3. you actually have willing hands?i have that exact cupboard-minus the lazy susan or the access cupboard-I hate that thing--i have to shine a flash light into it and than find a instrument long enough to go down the sides or to the back what a headache and backache, and why do i save every empty container that gets stuck in there

  5. I have two lasy susans in my kitchen,,,,one on each side of the sink. One is next to the stove the other one the dishwasher, both sit on top of a heater duct. Both stay warn in the winter months when we run the furnace. I store my pots and pans on one side and every day dishes on the other side. I can't store food in either but fortunately I have a large pantry in my kitchen and one whole wall of deep storage cabinets that go from floor to ceiling in the garage. The garage is keept at around 50 degrees in the winter so it is a great place for overflo fresh produce. The warm spaces do work great for making buttermilk though. :o)
